He performed a medley of early Jackson Five hits
BBC presenter Devon Daley could barely hide his excitement at getting to interview a musical legend in the form of Tito Jackson.
The former Jackson Five star was interviewed for last weekend’s edition of Devon’s -
A Touch of Soul programme.
Tito is in England as part of a national tour with fellow soul legend Gladys Knight.
And ironically, the singer’s favourite part of this country is the county of Devon!
Touring the globe
He told Devon Daley: “I found the people of Devon to be absolutely full of love. I enjoyed waking up each day and walking on the boardwalk and visiting the local shops.

“Everyone would stop to speak to you and it’s such a great small community up there.
“I’ve been touring the globe for 40 years now and to have that sort of atmosphere in my life was well overdue.”
Tito’s part in the show will see him perform a medley of early Jackson Five hits, including ABC, The Love You Save, I Want You Back and I’ll Be There.
It’s a section of the concert guaranteed to be more poignant than ever following the death of brother Michael earlier this year.
He will also be paying his own personal tribute to his late sibling during the evening.
Tito explained: “It’s been the hardest time of our lives. We’ve basically been supporting each other – holding each other to keep ourselves strong.
“Michael is loved by so many – not just in our family but across the world and he’s going to be sorely missed.”
