Recently a soul fan sent me a facebook message to say a BBC documentary made about Northern Soul in the Midlands by your correspondent near on 10 years ago had been posted ontto you tube..
it has interviews with legends like Edwin Starr and Colin Curtis
..and reminded me that northern soul fans have been incredibly loyal to their scene and made me wonder whether other today’ ssoul fans could compete in terms of continuing to attend events into their 50’s and 60’s and buying the music they love…
the doc is half an hr long but has been split into 3 parts for you tube ..pt 1 below..links to pt 2 and 3 are included at teh end of the pt 1 footage…
